Aini is an Aidha alumna and a seasoned student volunteer, who’s been with us since 2011! She started out helping with campus operations and is a volunteer deputy campus manager. Aini has come a long way, from being a self-described quiet and shy person who didn’t speak English well, to now someone who can stand in front of a large crowd to share her journey.

She now helps other FDWs improve their English by giving basic language classes so that they’ll feel more confident to join Aidha courses. She remembers that when she first joined Aidha, she was the only Indonesian in class then, but never felt out of place. Her wonderful classmates encouraged her, helped her with homework, and she did so well that she won the business plan competition during graduation.

She says, “Life changed so much for me… I learned the importance of making goals, not only just financial goals. I wrote down my goals and ranked them. Without knowing what we want by setting goals, we won’t know how to use our money. ” Aini’s birthday wish for Aidha? “That more students can join… I will be really happy to see that so that FDWs like me can have a better future and can be more confident in life.”
