Contest Categories
1. Inside Life
It’s so easy to think of the challenges during this trying period, but let’s pause and try to observe the positives. Can you see the beauty, comfort or joy in your surroundings that you have previously overlooked? Are there new hobbies or interests you have discovered now that you have to stay in more. What would you like to share of your life ‘inside’?
2. Me, Myself and I
With enforced social distancing most of us are spending more time with ourselves these days. If you believe that there is more to a person than just a face, we invite you to share with us a photo that truly reflects your personality. Let your self-portrait reveal your thoughts, interests or anything that truly represents you. We look forward to selfies galore for this category!

“It’s hard in this COVID-19 situation. But it can’t beat us. Like the wheels of the bicycle, we need to keep our lives moving. We need to stay safe and wear masks to protect each other regardless of where we’re from. We need to be a reflection of our beautiful future.”

“During Circuit Breaker my employers don’t allow me to go out even go for groceries. I think most employers did so because they worried. For me, I found the positive impact of staying at home after a month. I don’t have to spend money on EZ-link card, top-up card or food like usually I spend during off day. I can save up 50% more and it feels good.”

“Just because we are in the middle of a pandemic, it doesn’t mean you must stop dreaming. In fact, it means you should dream more! Be yourself, choose not to be bitter but to be better. Above all, love and appreciate yourself because no one else can do it for you.”

“When this pandemic happened, I limit myself for leaving the house, even before the Circuit Breaker took effect. My Sunday’s are spent in the room and laying on the bed. Eventually, I got bored and began to look for activities that I could do at home. One of them I tried to make ICE FLOWER photography. It’s not as easy as it shows on YouTube or written on some photography blogs, but I keep trying and trying again. This is one of the photos I produced. I hope you enjoy it.”

“My photo is me holding a book in a circle frame. I found my interest, comfort in reading books, not only to past the time but it also gives a non-stop learning experience in my everyday life and the frame remind me of limitations staying indoors.”

“We’re feeling so grateful to have each other. I learn so much from nature and my furry friends. When things get sketchy, anxiety kicks in or uncertainty and fear show up, I know I can only also look outside from the inside to find what I need but I can look at this beautiful creature flying free and know everything is always going to be ok.”
