Aidha Celebrates 20 Years of Empowering Women

From one classroom to a community spanning thousands of women across five countries, Aidha’s journey has always been guided by one belief: when women have access to financial education, support and opportunity, they create brighter futures for themselves, their families and their communities.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we honour the students, alumnae, volunteers, donors, employers, partners and supporters who have been part of this journey. Together, we’ve built more than an organisation. We’ve built a community committed to empowering women through financial education.

Twenty Years of Empowering Women

At Aidha, we believe financial education is about more than managing money. It is the foundation for confidence, agency and independence.

Over the past two decades, we’ve walked alongside migrant domestic workers and lower-income women as they pursued their aspirations. Along the way, we’ve seen women gain the confidence to plan ahead, start businesses, pursue further education, support their families and become leaders in their communities.

Twenty years on, these stories continue to inspire us and remind us why this work matters.

Looking Ahead

As Aidha celebrates 20 years, we are also looking ahead to our next chapter.

For two decades, we’ve witnessed the transformative impact of financial education. Building on this foundation, we’re exploring new ways to broaden access to financial literacy for migrant domestic workers and strengthen the ecosystem of support around them, together with employers, employment agencies, community partners and supporters.
