Financial Literacy ACCESS Campaign 2026

Migrant Domestic Workers need ACCESS to Financial Education

About 1 in 6 households in Singapore employs a migrant domestic worker. Every helper who cares for our families carries a hope for the future she is building for herself and her family. Yet, many of them come into Singapore with debt and leave with little or no savings. At Aidha, we believe that every migrant domestic worker who comes to Singapore with a dream deserves to have access to the tools and knowledge to achieve it.

Financial education holds the key. At Aidha we believe that a better future starts with empowerment through financial education. For 20 years, we have seen what happens when a woman is given the tools to take control of her finances. She saves more and grows her money. She starts a business. She is better prepared for emergencies. She leads a worry-free life, avoiding debt and scams. She focuses on uplifting herself, her family and her community while supporting her employer’s home.

Aidha’s Financial Literacy ACCESS Campaign needs you

In our 20th year of championing financial education for migrant domestic workers, we are launching the Financial Literacy ACCESS Campaign (Advancing Capability through Community, Education & Sustainable Savings) – a series of partnerships, programmes and funding initiatives to broaden access to financial education and strengthen their financial resilience. Your donation will help us:

  • Launch new initiatives to engage the wider community, including employment agencies, employers, and nonprofit and corporate organisations, to support migrant domestic workers in achieving financial literacy
  • Launch MoneyStart, a new free foundational course for newly arrived migrant domestic workers, so that every woman can start building healthy financial habits from her very first days in Singapore.
  • Set up and run the Ask Aidha Money Management Helpdesk, a walk-in resource that migrant domestic workers can approach whenever they need guidance regarding a financial challenge or need support making an everyday decision.
  • Scale our existing programmes, so that more migrant domestic workers can build the money management skills, savings habits, and confidence that set them on the path to financial resilience and independence.

Give a migrant domestic worker ACCESS to the knowledge and confidence to build a better future.
