Unspoken Life seeks to delve beneath the labels and unfurl the many selves of migrant domestic workers often unseen by Singapore society. This competition and exhibition will applaud and showcase the strength, diversity and creativity of migrant domestic workers who are here seeking a brighter future for themselves and their families.

Competition Categories 📸

  • 1. Soulful Moments: Reflections Within

    Capture moments that reflect your inner thoughts, emotions, and personal growth, beyond your duty as a migrant domestic worker.

  • 2. Hidden Treasures: Life Around Me

    Unveil the hidden beauty in everyday life and showcase the people, places, and moments that inspire you in the things you see around you.

  • 3. Aidha Spirit: Empowering Journeys

    Showcase the Aidha community, lifelong learning, lifelong friends and the transformative power of education. The photos can be of people, objects, landscapes etc. – anything that represents some part of your empowerment journey.
    (Only open to Aidha students and alumnae)

How to Submit ⬇️

    • Submit your photographs via email to [email protected] or WhatsApp 8428 1643.
    • Deadline for submissions is 10 August 2023, 12 pm.
    • Maximum of 5 photos can be submitted per category.
    • Include the following details with your submission: full name, nationality, and phone number.
    • Provide a short bio in 100 words or less, sharing how long you have been in Singapore, your hobbies, and interesting facts about yourself.
    • Ensure that your photos are original work (taken by you) and in high quality (minimum size – 2MB), in JPG or PNG format.
    • Write a description or story of each photograph in 100 words or less, indicating the category it is being submitted for.
    • Please note that only Aidha students/alumnae can submit for Category 3.
