As of 2025, your support of Aidha’s financial education programs have empowered more than 6,000 migrant domestic workers and low-income women! Our impact data shows that among Aidha alumnae who have completed our advanced courses, monthly savings have increased by nearly 80%, at least 9.5 out of 10 own their own home, land, livestock or other assets and more than 40% become business owners.

Yani plans to expand her mother’s catering business and preserve traditional Javanese kueh recipes by starting a small baking school that creates opportunities for women in her community.

She also hopes to continue her education in entrepreneurship, baking, and beyond, and find strategic ways to keep her farm back home productive.

Did you know there are around 250,000 migrant domestic workers (MDWs) in Singapore? Many of them have left behind their children and family in the hope of creating a better future. The reality is that many return home without savings, even after several years of work in Singapore.

Your contribution can help change this!

Aidha helps MDWs and low-income women build a better future through financial education. Our holistic financial literacy programme includes classes in money management, computer literacy, leadership and entrepreneurial skills to help our students create a financially secure future for themselves and their families.

Aidha has worked with about 6,000 women since its inception in 2006, and for every Aidha student, 9 lives are positively impacted. Our impact data shows that among Aidha alumnae, monthly savings increase by nearly 80%, the number of productive assets they own doubles, and business ownership increases from 6% to over 40%.
