This month, we’re spotlighting Joan Cadiz Pueda, a migrant domestic worker (MDW) and a proud Aidha alumna, and her supportive employer, Rajee Vissa, to share their uplifting story.

Joan’s personal growth, nurtured through her supportive employer Rajee and Aidha, is inspiring. Aidha equipped her with invaluable knowledge, but it was the unwavering support of her employer that truly ignited her transformation. “I’m more serious about personal development now,” Joan shared. “I’m so grateful my employers and Aidha helped me a lot in this journey.”

Rajee Vissa, the caring employer, shared her perspective on their inspiring partnership. “Jo has really stepped up her game. She greatly improved her health through simple but consistent daily fitness routines, mindful eating, good sleep habits and attention to mental health through meditation & relaxation techniques.”

For Rajee, their long-lasting relationship rests on a solid foundation of mutual respect. It was Joan’s dedication to self-improvement that reignited her own commitment to health and well-being.

“…being supportive of her own personal development journey is the least I can do as an employer, a friend, and a fellow woman. This is how we lift each other up – lately it is I who is inspired by Jo!”

It was this transformation and mutual support that inspired both of them to team up for Ride for Aidha 2023 and take on the challenge together.

Their journey exemplifies the power of supportive employers, friendships, and the Aidha community, where individuals come together to empower and uplift one another. Joan and Rajee’s story serves as a heartwarming reminder that by helping each other, we can all rise to new heights together!
