Aidha’s Annual Unspoken Life Photography Exhibition

Since 2017, Aidha has held its annual “Unspoken Life” Photography Exhibition to celebrate and showcase the strength, diversity and creativity of migrant domestic workers (MDWs) who are here seeking a brighter future for themselves and their families. The exhibition seeks to delve beneath the labels and unfurl the many selves of migrant domestic workers often unseen by Singapore society.

The photographs below are taken by MDWs as part of Aidha’s Unspoken Life Photography Competition.

Photographs are available for sale, and all proceeds will go towards Aidha, an award-winning Singapore-based charity dedicated to empowering migrant domestic workers through financial education. The Macquarie Group Foundation has been supporting Aidha since 2017 with both volunteer engagement as well as funding, including hosting a weekday class of Aidha’s Module 1 course at Macquarie’s Singapore office, catalysing Aidha’s programme of free short courses and helping build Aidha’s organisational capacity to scale up and amplify its impact.
