business counseling program launched
‘There’s no such thing as a ‘final’ business plan,’ says Dr. Sarah Mavrinac, president of aidha and leader of aidha’s entrepreneurship course. ‘Business plans must evolve and change. There’s always room for improvement,’ she noted in her announcement of aidha’s new business counseling programme.Â
The programme, which was kicked off on Sunday, 28 October, 2007, provides aidha students with an opportunity to discuss their nascent business plans in one-on-one sessions with volunteer counselors. The first students to be included in the programme are those who completed aidha’s inaugural entrepreneurship course this past April.Â
All students will have an opportunity to meet in multiple rounds with the counselors, refining their business plans as they progress through the programme.Â
“We look forward to seeing all the students’ business plans progress significantly,” said Dr. Mavrinac. “We look forward especially to stronger financial statements and expense projections. All entrepreneurs need to focus carefully on financial obligations. With this counseling, we believe students will be able to build more realistic, more successful organizations going forward.”
